Wrote... In case anyone was thinking of coming to see the Fred Zeppelin at THE SANCTUARY nest week, 19th Sept, I have to let you know it has closed down. Gigs off and, as far as I know so are all the other bookings for Sanctuary.
Wrote... Goes without saying - fantastic musicians - and great entertainers! Hope you don't mind this related plug - On 18th September, Crossroads Blues Club (just up the road from The Roadhouse) have our First Year Anniversary gig featuring bluesman Perry Foster - when he formed his Delta Blues Band, Perry recruited CHRIS WOOD and a very young ROBERT PLANT on vocals and washboard! Some great history here for Zep fans who love the Blues!

Wrote... Here we go again.... last gig for me was the Wolvo Civic..... will see you at the Flowerpot in Derby... complete with a couple of Fredz virgins... yep there are still virgins in derby (both blokes in their 40s!!!!!)
Wrote... Saw the Fredz at 'The Wardens' in Kenilworth earlier this month. I was extremeley lucky to get tickets to Led Zep at the 02 on Dec 10th and they were truly fantastic so I thought I was going to have a bit of a giggle seeing a tribute band. Not so - they were really really good and I had a great night. I can't wait to see them again and I am gutted that that the Fletch gig has been cancelled. Would definitely recommend this band as great musicians and performers who have captured the spirit of Led Zep.Fantastic!!!!!
Wrote... Went with pals to th eRoadhouse gig on 19th Jan. Awsome - thanks!

My mate saw guns n roses at MEN arena last year and said you were better!!! ( all round entertainment value ) How`s that for a compliment. Cant get over how you`ve got Rob plants stage movement down to a tee.
Excellent and highly recommended
See you at the oxford next year.

Wrote... Another excellent evening's entertainment at the Limelight. Superb bunch of musicians on display. Can't wait for next visit in the New Year.
Nice to meet "Mr Plant" - I too was really annoyed that the "Arena" programme left out one of the best tribute bands on the planet.
Thanks again guys for a brilliant night!
Wrote... Just wanted to say thanks for a brill evening on Thurs 16th August at The Robin 2 (there with my partner who got picked out to show off the t-shirt - you made her night!)
Highlights for me were "Since I Been Loving You" which is (IMHO) probably one of the best songs ever written, blues or otherwise - hearing it live by you guys made the hairs stand up on the back of my aging neck - magical.
See y'all soon
Wrote... Hi! Guys,
seen you loads and looking forwrd to the next time. To celebrate 15 years, do an outdoor gig at Conkers, just outside Swadlincote. It should attract the Burton, Nuneaton, Coventry and Derby fans as a minimum. The venue holds 500+ and is great. There is a bar, but people can take in their own food and drink and really party. I can help with details if you think this could be a goer as I live nearby. Steve, I could pick you up from work and we could go? And, lets film the gig and make it available for sale like the CD's. You could do a set, rest, do acoustics then a finale over 4hrs or so? It would be a great night. If not, just go somewhere and play for 15 hours! Cheers! Graham
Wrote... What, is there only me here these days???
15 years of Fred Zeppelin next year. Apart from givin' it a rest (no way), anyone got any ideas how we should celebrate?

Finishing off with a brill version of Kashmir. Keep it up!
Wrote... We have seen you many times at the Hibernian and the Roadhouse. Please, please, please play at Glastonbudget this year. You are all FAB and would be the best band there.
Wrote... Fourth time seeing the Fredz for me. Worcester Marrs Bar last Friday night was a blast and the guys were their usual top quality. The accoustic set was a first for me. It was great, although I think they need to figure out how to get the electric guitar in, along with bass and drums, for the latter parts. I'll see you again the next time I come over.
Wrote... i had a great 44(opps!) i mean 34 birthday last night at the hibernian the band was fantastic but what happened there was no kashmere keep on rockin xxxx
Wrote... WAS AWESOME (as they say nowadays)!!!
Had a great time. Couldn't get over how good the Hendrix tribute was - quite a hard act to follow! I saw the original at The Isle of Wight in 1970 and haven't seen anyone playing his stuff since.

Wrote... Awesome gig on Friday
Just to say we had a great time at the Waterfront on Friday night - hopefully you'll keep me posted if you go there again
Think it was even better than last time - one friend who came and who's been living in San Fransisco for the past 20 years or so (and I hadn't seen him since 1993!) thought the band was great and bought a T shirt so you'll be famous in Redwood City, California.
I'm planning to try and get to the Nuneaton Nags Head on 22nd July - not as scenic as the Waterfront, but it's the music that counts!
Wrote... I am currently gettign some information together about Tribute Bands in the West Midlands. I would like to get in touch with one of the band members re your band and the possibility of being featured on BBC Midlands Today. Would you kindly get in touch. Thanks and kind regards

Wrote... Have been to 2 do's so far. Better than my high expectations. I've only seen LZ in film (The song remains the same)and wasn't impressed (ooops, and I am a fan y'know!) Anyway, Fredz are better, more fun, fantastic music & singing (!) and I hope to get to more gigs! THANK YOU.
Wrote... Just to say I had a great time at the Waterfront on Friday - couldn't see Whole Lotta Led on Saturday at Bham Academy as it was postponed so can't make a comparison. Anyway, I'm just glad there are some great people keeping the music alive (sounds very corny - but you know what I mean)
Listening to the albums will always be great, but not the same as a live gig
Thanks
Wrote... I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Hibernian show on Saturday. This was my third time seeing the band. I live in New York and I always try to catch the band whenever I come over. I brought my brother to the show this time and he was completely blown away with the quality. He, like me, is a serious Zep fan. Not sure when the next time will be, but I will certainly see you again whenever it is. It was nice talking with Steve in the bar before the show.
Wrote... Thought the Hibernian gig on 28/01/2006 was very good. Better than the one on or around 09/12/2005 - I know you had problems with the sound that night. Thought Over The Hills & Since I've Been ... came across really well. Who was that nutter at the front who you let loose with the mic??!!
Wrote... Hey guys. Me and the boys had fun supporting you on Nov 26. Watching you was more fun though. You're fantastic! Went to see Robert Plant in December, Steve you're just like him! Wrote... Hi Guys,Just a quick note to let you know what I thought another LZ trib band "Lets Zep". In all fairness they were quite good especially the drummer. The vocalist was a total poser though and couldn't really sing. Guitarist was slick but had difficulties escaping cliche. Their bassist was quite good too and he played keyboard and foot pedal bass so it opened a few other songs up for them. The "concert" was at Oakengates T H and was a seated affair making for an extremely sterile atmosphere. On balance, although most of the show was very professional and musically acurate I prefer a more intimate gig with that raw edge (complement!) and crowd interaction. You Win Guys!!see you soonneil
Wrote... Dear band,My name is Endaf Jones and I'm studying an MA in 'Television Production' at Chester College, Cheshire. I'm writing to you about a documentary I'm hoping to produce and then pitch (try to sell!!) to Granada next year. The half-hour programme will report on the success of a variety of tribute bands and what it means to be part of such entertainment. Filming will need to take place early next year. Some quick interviews and permission to film during one of your shows would be greatly appreciated. Interviewing could be done before a show, or on a separate occasion, whatever works best for you. Either way, I'll be sure not to take up too much of your time. So what do you think? Interested? Let me know if you think we can arrange something,Thank you very much for your time,Endaf Jones

this one was sooo sweet and even-handed !

Hi Freds, went to see Whole Lotta Led tonight, great show, enjoyed it, but mate not a patch on you - not trying to diss anybody my preference is the Freds {Get yourself to Liberties in Middlesboro, I've told everybody what you're like} The crowd went crazy for this band but I've seen the best {THE FREDS}

Wrote... Hi Steve
Wow what can I say. Had such a fantastic time at the Convention on Saturday. Great to see such a lot of money raised. You guys just get better and better - don't know how you do it. I have never been so blown away. Your ability as a band is phenonominal and plus all you guys are so nice. Never give this up it would be such a waste. We were there from 3pm onwards and the whole day was a success - you guys were the icing on the cake. Rock on you guys. I was talking to some other people in the crowd who were also from Ilkeston
- so we were not alone. See you all very soon - have to had my Fredz fix!!!! Kevin really looked as if he was having a good time by the way, he never stopped smiling - not that the rest of you don't smile - he just usually strikes me as being the quiet guy - I could be wrong of course!!
Love to all Den XX

Wrote... Just wanted to say how great you all were on Friday night at the Kirk Hallam Social Club.
Must have been good for Steve to be performing in front of his "home crowd". Saw you at Coalville Vic pub recentlly and Ilkeston last time round and you just get better if that is at all possible.
As a tribute band you are all awesome. I met up there with the lads from Rainbow Rising, good mates of mine - (Mark the lead singer, his girlfriend Rachael and Mick the drummer) on Friday who thought you were brilliant too. Lets hope they too can get a gig there, the venue was not bad despite the gremlins that attacked your set on Friday ( which incidentally made not a scrap of difference to the night as live music sometimes has its ups and downs).
We shall all look forward to seeing you at the Flowerpot in March. Keep up
the brilliant work and try and get back to Ilkeston soon.
Best regards Den X

Wrote... Hi Guys, Speaking as a recent Fredz convert I'd like to say a big thank you for the Rock Cafe gig on Friday 16th Jan. You were all brilliant. I've seen many great bands at that venue and you're performance was not only one of the best but also the best received which just goes to show the enduring appeal of Ledz AND how well you do it justice.
Thanks for playing acoustic numbers such as Gallows Pole and Tangerine and thank you for Thank You. You guys are stars and you keep the magic alive.
I've met Rob Plant on a number of occasions but sadly I'm too overawed to even look at him properly let alone remind him he's the best.
What's the story with the Led Zep convention in April at the Rock Cafe? It mentions guest appearances, is the man himself likely to be there?
Respect and thanks, Jill

Wrote... Guys. A big thank you from Gill and I for a great day and night at the Rock Cafe. Excellent atmosphere, great performance, both acoustic and electric. I was particularly chuffed to hear "Ten Years Gone", and to see that Keith plays it the same as I try to - maybe we're both wrong!! I think "In my Time of Dying" was the first time you had played this live?? In that case, top marks!!! Gill now also has a T shirt, so more money into your huge bank accounts!
We are bringing more friends along to the Marrs Bar gig on 7 March, including a couple from Kent, so we look forward to seeing you again there.
Regards, Dave and Gill Evans, Knightwick, Worcs.
PS - We also found a great Indian restaurant in Stourbridge, so a top-notch day all round.

Wrote... 5th May 2001 - Kellys, Leamington Spa While searching for Rock tribute bands on the Internet I came across your Web site and although being a fan of Led Zep, I hadn't heard of Fred Zep.
Even living local to "Kellys", this was my first visit to that Pub for 8 years. It hadn't changed a bit. I understand some of you found it tricky to find, I can believe that. And "MIND THAT BEAM". Although I have only seen Led Zep live on video ( in the early seventies I would of only have been Ten, don't think I would of got into one of the gigs) this was a live experience that I'm glad I didn't miss. So much so that I shall be at the Coventry gig at The Hare & Hounds. Purchased a T-shirt, wanted a brass badge also but non-available, maybe next time ? Noticed Keith's headwear had the same print as my guitar strap. See you next time.
Cheers. Tony.

is i have seen and heard the next best thing. Oh if you ever need a support band or just in case blackie gets hurt (hopefully not) I have a band which have played venus like the Robin 2 we play our own material. Oh and i play the drums so look out BONZO hahahaha.
